T. Girard and his father-in-law
My father-in-law and I had met Christopher on one of our reservoir trips and we had already noticed that he fished, let's say, much better than us.
After a few exchanges during the lunch break, he tells us that he is a fishing guide in Ireland during most of the year and he leaves us his card. A few months later, after having dreamed together about fishing trips, salmon, rivers with countless trout, we decide, a bit on a whim, to contact Christopher for a stay in Ireland.
This trip was simply incredible. Christopher is not only an outstanding fisherman, but also an absolutely incomparable guide: he knows his lakes and rivers like the back of his hand (probably better, in fact) and we were able to admire on many occasions the extent of his knowledge when he announced to us a spot likely to shelter a beautiful fish and he pulled out a pike of more than 1 meter on the first cast.
We were not left out either, magnificent lake trout and trout from the Boyne, a few pike and a salmon came to make up the picture of a fishing trip that we are not ready to forget .
We will also remember from this stay the excellent welcome organized by Christopher, in addition to his very friendly and humorous personality: trip from the airport to the fishing spots as soon as we landed, room reservations made in advance by him, return trip to the airport and meals included; there is nothing to complain about .
Once we had booked our plane tickets, we had nothing more to think about and just had to fish, a real vacation... We'll go back!

I thought I knew Ireland well! But after a week of guiding with Christofer Defillon from "Evasion Pêche Irlande", I discovered a whole other dimension of fishing on this island with its authentic charms. His kindness is matched only by his professionalism. I was far from thinking that I could catch such big pike and such big trout on the same trip. Looking forward to the next trip!

It's not always easy to take your wife on a fishing trip and satisfy both parties! By staying in this beautiful manor, not only was my wife delighted and I had the right to go trout fishing every day on the magnificent private course of the Estate. We were filled with emotions and beautiful memories. Thank you Christopher and Gina. The pleasure was as much on the plate as at the end of the rod

Discovering this Boyne Valley with Christopher was a revelation for me. This large limestone river contains magnificent wild brown trout and an entomological richness that gives fly fishing its letters of nobility. The wise advice and knowledge of Mr Christofer Defillon contributed to the success of my stay.

Catching a nice pike, a trout, a salmon, a sea trout in the same week is possible with Evasion Pêche Irlande.

The water levels were not at their best when I came last July, but thanks to Christopher, my dream came true: fighting a beautiful Irish salmon.
